The UC Davis Division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Aggie Black Excellence and the African American Faculty and Staff Association hosted a book talk for "Faith Made Flesh: The Black Child Legacy Campaign for Transformative Justice and Healthy Futures." 

 

Professor Lawrence "Torry" Winn and Professor Maisha Winn, with special guests, Dr. Vajra Watson and SAYS Director Patrice Hill, shared their unique insights into the themes explored within the book. The presentation focused on "Sacramento Matters: Exploring Community-University Partnerships".  This authors discussed the role of the university in fostering healthy relationships with historically marginalized communities.
