Bio

Erron Duncan is a native of Stockton, CA. His support system along with strong extended family ties, have insulated his development in a rough environment, and facilitated his ongoing educational journey. His involvement in athletics throughout his childhood has built Erron’s character and given him a platform to lead him into interests in transformative justice and liberation.

Erron is passionate about justice, youth empowerment, and athletics as a platform for re-imagination. He sees his role in education as someone who encourages the growth, opportunities, and possibilities of youth from his hometown through education. Erron also held on-campus leadership roles as an Undergraduate Fellow for the UC Davis Transformative Justice in Education Center, the Education Coordinator for the Coalition for African Diaspora Student Athletes (CADSA), and the High School Outreach Coordinator for African Diaspora Cultivating Education (ACE). He received his teaching credential/master’s from UC Davis program.  He want to be able to reinvest in public education as a math teacher, sports coach, and activist for equitable change in the California public school system. He also plans to eventually build a university program for the intersection between social justice and identity in athletics.
